Retained Firefighters - Aviemore Attended: 1-day HSE Emergency First Aid Course - 20 Feb 10 Steven Wilson: I found this course to have been the best first aid course I have attended during 10 years with the Highland and Island Fire and Rescue Service due to the fact that it is now more Fire Service specific. Sean Stewart: The course was very good. Good theory and practical. Jim put it across very well and suited to the Fire Service. John Allan: Enjoyed the course. The tutor was very helpful. Fresh outlook. Ian Macgregor: Good focus on Fire Service first aid requirements. Darren Thomas: The course was very interesting. I enjoyed the information/discussions around the subject and the lighter humour lifted the subject really well. Many thanks. Karen Robertson: Very informative. Relaxed and full of information in regards to a whole wide range of first aid. I liked the hands on exercises and very usefull tips. Annette Bruce: Have done a few first aid courses in the past and this was far the best. Versitile, calm and informative and adapted his sessions accordingly. Fergus Ogilvie: Good style of presentation - varied and interesting with theoretical and prectical mix to enhance skills and put them into context. Jannet Curry: Good Balance of information and practical, with serious and lighter moments. Bill Bartlett: Very thought provoking and interesting slides and videos, etc. Very useful scenarios out in the field with sensitive and sensible feedback on how we did. Cut out a lot of the "padding" and made it realistic - backed up by an experienced trainer. David Macintyre: Enjoyable course with a good mix of practical and theoretical sessions. Frazer Parr: Very good course. Helps that he knows the type of scenarios we are likely to encounter as a serving firefighter. Donnie MacDonald: Interesting, practical course. Dilys Hartland: I appreciated the pace of the course - visual material balanced with practical sessions and lighter moments. Very useful both professionally and personally. (I live in a remote rural area and often wonder how I would cope with emergencies!) John Smith: Many thanks for an in formative and enjoyable day. Mark Poe: Have been on first aid before and they can feel long, but on this one - time past fast. Great trainer. Stewart Geddies: Good course with plenty of practical. Gordon Morrison: Course was well presented and not only covered first aid at work but the trainer covered certain aspects of the work we are involved in. Informative and relevant.
